Chevy '57

It was a normal boring Saturday morning shopping as usual. My wife and I was going into a small shop which normally sell a lot of junk. In a corner I found a 1/40 die cast Chevy '57 painted as a police cruiser. I felt in love immediately - could see that this was the fun for the afternoon.
I had a picture in my mind that I wanted to try to make. It should be old fashion and mysterious.
When I came home I set up my “studio”. I used a mirror covered with car sun-film as the surface. I dripped a lot of water on it as a part of the mysterious look. I place a 300w studio flash with a 60x90cm softbox approx 50cm above the surface. This was the main light. The flash was located to the left of the car. At right I placed a piece of white polystyrene which should give reflection from the left side of the car. Finally I placed a speedlite 580 EXII at the rear of the car. The speedlite was controlled with the wireless controlled build into my 7D. The Flash head was connected with a PC cable.
After taking some few shots to get the light right I wondered how I could get it more mysterious. I remembered that I some years ago bought a “mist” generator in a flower shop for a mist-ing decoration. I found it the garage after some minutes.
I was lucky – it was still working.
In the shot it is located far right.
I added light in the headlight in photoshop with render lense flare.
